Suleymanya end of two weeks of fun

Today is the last day of a two week trip to Suleymaya in Kurdish Iraq. This was the fourth trip and things are getting quite familiar then. But gosh was it hot today: 47,5 degrees celsius. Luckily IMCK has a good air-conditioning and three different ways to get electricity secured. Don’t ask me how, I could tell you but I wont. Two weeks in which I met about 12 new people, all very interesting and met two former trainees again: Mustapha and Duraid. If I would go one about the meetings with all the new and all frinds I could write a little booklet I guess so I am not going to do that. But believe me it was fun and you will see the great pictures I tok very soon as soon as I am home and can download them on my Facebook site.

Some of the friends got sick today so I was on my own to go to dinner, but of course that is now problem. I had some  nice chicken at Castello’s and afterwards started to walk back instead of taking a cab. But at 500 meters the heat really got to me, I was sweating all over and, because of earlier misfortunes decided to take a cab after all. I had a great idea to rest a bit in the new Rand Mall but when I arrived there I saw the most strange situation. The mall was covered in darkness, people were inside buying stuff, but since they had a power failure it was no use in going up for a nice cappuccino and to get my breath back. So then a cab was quite welcome.

In the coming days I will post more messages, but now I tired. And I have to start packing because tomorrow Ahmad is going to drive me with the “brown Lady” to Erbil and the airport.
